Life-Threatening Bleeding & Tourniquet Application

Course Overview

Learn to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding using direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. Based on the Stop the Bleed initiative.

What You Will Learn

• Based on the Stop the Bleed initiative
• Hands-on tourniquet application (CAT and SOFTT-W)
• Wound packing with hemostatic gauze
• Direct pressure and bandaging techniques
• No prior experience required

What to Bring

• Valid government-issued photo ID
• Appropriate clothing for range activities
• Closed-toe shoes (required on the range)
• Water and snacks for longer courses
• Firearms and ammunition (if applicable, instructor will advise)
• Notebook and pen for classroom portions
